The Traditional Way to Use a Scrummi Disposable Hairdressing Towel

In this video, I’m going to walk you through the traditional method of using a Scrummi towel to get the best results for your clients. Follow these steps to ensure a professional and effective drying process:

1. Prepare Your Client: Before starting, ensure your client is seated comfortably. Twist their hair up and secure it with clips to keep it out of the way.

2. Drape the Towel: Take a Scrummi towel and drape it around your client's shoulders, making sure the textured side is facing up.

3. Positioning: Tilt your client's head back over the backwash station and remove the clips. Proceed with washing the hair as usual.

4. Post-Wash Care: After shampooing, conditioning, and rinsing, squeeze out excess water by hand. You may need to repeat this a couple of times to ensure all excess moisture is removed.

5. Tangle-Free Hair: For longer hair, comb through to remove any tangles. Then, twist the hair up and secure it with a clip.

6. Creating a Traditional Turban:

  • Use the same Scrummi towel from around the client’s shoulders and open it out underneath their head.
  • Fold one side of the towel over and then the other side at the front of the head.
  • For longer hair, twist the towel into a light ponytail and fold it under at the front to secure it in place.

7. Secure the Towel: Ensure the towel is snug at the nape of the neck. Avoid rubbing the hair; instead, apply light, constant pressure with the Scrummi towel to absorb moisture effectively.

8. Final Touch: Once the towel has absorbed the moisture, you can take your client back to the styling chair.

By following these steps, you ensure that the Scrummi towel performs at its best, leaving the hair ready for the next styling step!
